[Playbook] Now Use Your Companion Pass on AirTran Flights

Your companion pass just got a whole lot easier to use!  The companion pass is one of the best frequent flyer perks on the market, and can be earned by earning 110,000 points on Southwest Airlines in a calendar year.  You can read all about it in my post here.

Previously, it was only available on Southwest flights, despite the airline owning AirTran.  Now, this week, Southwest has added domestic  AirTran flights to its website, enabling you to book using your companion pass!  International flights to the Caribbean and Mexico are excluded for the time being, but will be added in 2014!

How I Got My Pass

I recently gained my pass using the bonuses earned from Southwest’s Personal and Business Chase credit cards, and a transfer of points from Hyatt.  It’s easy to do and requires NO FLYING.  Now, I have a companion pass for all Southwest travel for my girlfriend and I for the rest of 2013 and 2014.  I’m telling you, this is an incredible deal.  Get on it!  Apply here.
